Barnes-Jewish Hospital celebrated a major milestone in 2009 by performing their 1000^th lung transplant. TMG used this accomplishment as our jumping-off point in their annual report  titled "Breathing Life Into Our Community." The report features patient stories throughout, including that of Curtis Almeter, a photographer who received a lung transplant at the hospital. His photos are featured in the cover artwork.
